I studied photography in London and have been working professionally since 2012.

Together with my wife, we photograph couples, proposals, and families. As parents of two, we truly enjoy working with children and know how to create a calm and comfortable atmosphere during sessions.

My approach is natural and documentary.
I focus on capturing genuine reactions and the atmosphere of each moment rather than directing stiff poses.

You won’t hear me asking you to say “cheese” or telling your children to stay still. Instead, I gently guide you so you can relax and enjoy the experience itself, resulting in honest, timeless photographs that reflect who you truly are.

  • About Me

    Photography is more than just my profession — it’s the way I see the world. I’m always drawn to light, movement, and the subtle expressions that appear in fleeting moments. Even on my days off, I carry a camera with me, wanting to preserve life as it unfolds.

    What I value most is not staged expressions, but authenticity. There’s no need for perfect poses. Whether someone is laughing, crying, or even feeling a little frustrated, I believe those honest moments become the most meaningful memories.

    Before becoming a photographer, I worked as a mechanical engineer. In 2012, I chose to follow my passion and completely changed careers. I realized I wanted to connect with people and create something lasting, rather than spend my days in front of a computer.

    Travel has always been a major source of inspiration for me. I’ve visited more than 80 countries, and the Arctic Circle remains one of my favorite places. Photographing there has become a lifelong project and an important stage for my artistic work. New landscapes and encounters continue to shape the way I see and capture the world.

    Above all, the time I spend with my wife and children is the most precious part of my life. My photography is rooted in that sense of connection and the desire to cherish each present moment.

    Alongside my client work, I continue my artistic journey as a landscape photographer, holding solo exhibitions and offering fine art prints. Together with my wife, I also create and share content about Japanese language and culture through YouTube and podcasts.

    Through photography, I hope to preserve the connection between people and the atmosphere that exists only in that singular moment.

What’s Included / Not Included

*Each plan includes pre-shoot location coordination, handling of photography permits, on-site Japanese language support, post-shoot photo selection & editing, Travel Fee to our Basic Areas (Tokyo / Kyoto / Nagano and more)

*Each plan does not include Facility usage fees, admission fees, reservation fees, and the photographer's accommodation costs (if applicable) are not included in the session fee. The same applies to travel expenses for sessions outside our base area. In these cases, a separate estimate will be provided.

How is the shooting time calculated?


The shooting time is generally counted from the moment you, our clients, meet with our photographer. However, depending on the shooting conditions, there may be cases where the photographer needs to be on standby in advance for preparation. In such situations, the shooting time will be considered to start from the time the photographer begins that standby. Thank you for your understanding.

Travel included, no surprises.

All packages include travel to our basic areas — no extra travel fees, no calculations, just one clear price.

Basic Areas we often shoot at : Tokyo / Kyoto / Nagano / Kamikochi / Kawaguchiko / Matsumoto / Karuizawa / Kiso Valley

Please ask if your destination is not on the list.

For locations outside this area (e.g. Hokkaido, Nikko, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Okinawa), a travel fee will be quoted separately based on the destination.

*If the photographer’s accommodation is required for the shoot, such as for early morning or late night sessions, or for shoots in distant locations, an additional fee of JPY 20,000 + TAX per night will be charged.

Reservation, Changes, and Cancellation Policy

To secure your booking, you may choose one of the following payment options:

  • Full payment: Pay the full session fee at the time of reservation.

  • Split payment: Pay a 50% deposit at the time of reservation, with the remaining balance due 7 days prior to your scheduled session date.

PayPal, Wise, and Revolut payments are available. If you would like to pay by credit card, the payment will be processed via PayPal. Please note that payments made via PayPal incur a 5% transaction fee.

Please let us know your preferred payment method when you contact us.

The deposit (50% of the session fee) covers the time spent on planning, location scouting, preparation, and reserving your date, and is non-refundable.

If you need to change your reservation date, we are happy to accommodate your request at no additional cost, subject to availability. We recommend contacting us as early as possible so we can offer the best alternative options. We also do our best to remain flexible in case of weather changes.

Cancellations more than 7 days before the session: The deposit is non-refundable. Any amount paid beyond the deposit (e.g., the remaining balance, if paid in full) will be refunded. No additional charges apply.

Cancellations within 7 days of the session: The full amount already paid is non-refundable, as we are unable to accept other bookings for that time and planning has already been completed.

Please note that PayPal transaction fees are non-refundable.

FAQ

  • Pre-Wedding sessions are priced by length, from 1 hour to 8 hours, and Wedding Day photography is available as a half-day or full-day package. You can see the current price and what's included for each plan in the list above.

  • Pre-shoot location coordination, handling of photography permits, on-site Japanese language support, professional photo selection and editing, a video call before the session, and travel fee to our basic areas (Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagano and more). All communication is in English.

  • A Pre-Wedding session is a photoshoot for the two of you in wedding attire, at the locations you choose, on a day separate from your ceremony.

    Wedding Day photography covers your wedding day itself, including preparations, the ceremony, the reception and portraits, with one photographer.

  • We talk through your plans, ideas and the schedule, so we both feel comfortable before the day. It's also a good time to ask any questions about locations, timing and permissions.

  • Facility usage fees, admission fees, reservation fees, and the photographer's accommodation (if needed) are not included. Locations outside our basic areas have a separate travel fee, which we quote in advance.

    Extra time on location is also available as an extension. See the sections above for details.

  • We frequently shoot in Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagano, Kamikochi, Kawaguchiko, Matsumoto, Karuizawa, and the Kiso Valley. However, we are available to travel anywhere across Japan. Travel is included for many locations, though a travel fee may apply depending on the destination. Please feel free to inquire for a custom quote.

  • For a Pre-Wedding session, I recommend the 2-hour session or 4-hour session. It gives you time to relax and move between locations, so you can get a good variety of photos. If your schedule is tight, the 1-hour session still gives you a good set of photos.

    For Wedding Day photography, the half-day package (up to 4 hours) suits a shorter schedule, and the full-day package (up to 8 hours) covers everything from preparations to the reception. Not sure? Tell me your plans and I'll suggest the best option.

  • Shooting time normally starts when you meet the photographer. If the photographer needs to be on standby in advance for preparation, it starts from the time the standby begins.

  • The number of professionally edited high-resolution images depends on the plan (see above). Delivery is within 1 week for the 1-hour and 2-hour Pre-Wedding sessions, and within 2 weeks for the 4-hour and 8-hour Pre-Wedding sessions and for the Wedding Day packages.

  • Yes. Photos are normally delivered in my signature portfolio style, and I can tailor the look as an add-on. Share reference photos in advance if you have them.

  • Send an inquiry through the contact form with your dates, location and ideas. You can pay in full or pay a 50% deposit to secure the date. PayPal, Wise and Revolut are accepted.

  • Date changes are free, subject to availability. We stay flexible about the weather, so contact us as early as possible and we'll find the best alternative.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

  • Yes. All communication, planning and the session itself are in English. I also provide Japanese language support on site, so you don't need to worry about arrangements, permits or communication with local staff.

  • Yes. Please see the Proposal Packages and Vacation Packages pages. Any photoshoot in wedding attire is treated as a Pre-Wedding session.
