Today, I’m excited to share a recent surprise proposal shoot we had the pleasure of photographing at the winter festival in Kiso-Fukushima, Nagano, Japan.
A Heartwarming Moment in the Freezing Cold
It was an incredibly cold, snowy day — the kind that makes you tuck your hands deep in your pockets and breathe clouds of white. That evening, the town of Kiso-Fukushima was holding its annual winter event. Ice candles lined the streets, softly glowing in the freezing air, and the usually quiet town was alive with people and laughter.
Amidst this beautiful scene, a secret plan was unfolding — a very special proposal.
One of our dear friends and a wonderful member of our creative circle had decided to propose to his girlfriend. Together, we planned the moment and waited quietly, cameras ready to capture it all.
When he finally brought out the ring, people passing by couldn’t help but smile, and soon the street filled with warm applause. It was pure happiness — a perfect mix of laughter, surprise, and love.
